It is my pleasure to welcome Irfhan Rawji and Todd Karran to our Board of Directors at PBA Group of Companies!  These appointments come as we continue to diversify the expertise of our organization. Their previous board experience in Director, Chair, and Advisory capacities will ensure varied opinions and perspectives are represented, expressed, and considered at the Board level.

Irfhan is the Founder & CEO of MobSquad, an innovative Canadian start-up as well as Managing Partner at Relay Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of numerous organizations including The Glenbow Museum, The Organic Box, Sage Properties, and Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Impact Fund Advisory, to name just a few.

Todd had an impressive 35-year career with NOVA Chemicals, a leading producer of polyethylene and expandable styrenics, which saw him in various positions of increasing responsibility including multiple C-Suite roles. In 2020, he retired from NOVA Chemicals as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Member of the Board of Directors. He is currently a Director of AvanSix, a fully integrated manufacturer of nylon 6 resin, chemical intermediates and ammonium sulfate fertilizer. He previously served on the Grande Theatre Board of Directors.

These new appointments will help to diversify and strengthen our Board and bring valuable, robust viewpoints and opinions to the table, reinforcing our corporate governance in support of our strategic direction.

At PBA Group of Companies, we are committed to transparency, integrity, and leading with our Core Values within our corporate governance practices. This ensures PBA will continue to both manage the financial and strategic direction of our business effectively and act in the best interest of our stakeholders. Our Board provides the leadership direction to assist our executive team in successfully executing our strategic plan while adhering to our strong corporate governance practices.

PBA continually looks for ways to elevate and reinvest in our communities. We effectively accomplish this by working collaboratively and taking into consideration the many voices and perspectives throughout our decision-making process. The addition of Irfhan and Todd’s diverse worldviews, experiences, and expertise to our Board will help to shape the future of our business.

Welcome aboard, Irfhan and Todd!
